Foggy mornings have returned to North India and so does the accidents on the highways. Reportedly, around 30 cars rammed into each other leading to a massive pile-up on a highway number 1 in Haryana today early morning.
Four people have lost their lives in the accident, while around 25 people have been injured.
The accident took place due to the low visibility owing to the fog.
Dense to very dense fog was reported from several parts of Punjab and Haryana, with visibility dropping from 200 meters to nil.
"A truck had broken down on the road when another vehicle hit it from behind. Thereafter, at least 30 to 40 vehicles piled up behind them," Manoj Kumar, Highway Patrol Officer told to a journalist.
Looking at the pictures of the accident, a car was seen stuck completely under the truck and has been reduced to mere crushed pieces of metal.
