After fluctuating visibility levels between 50 to 100 meters during late night and morning hours for last two to three days, fog in Delhi relented a bit today as flight operations remained smooth at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The lowest visibility level in Delhi was reported to be around 200 meters which did not cause any hindrance to flight services in the national capital. According to our forecast, fog in Delhi and visibility levels will continue to remain better in the coming two days.

Due to the absence of a Western Disturbance, there is lack of moisture in the atmosphere and winds are northerly to northwesterly, which has helped in improving the foggy conditions.

The other places like Amritsar, Chandigarh, Allahabad, Varanasi and Gorakhpur have also reported better visibility levels as fog remained shallow at all these places today. However, visibility in Bhopal has been reported to be nil for few hours during early morning today.

Sky in Delhi will be clear today and sun is expected to come out. This will lead to rise in day temperatures which may become normal today while minimum temperature in Delhi may fall a bit tomorrow.
