Delhi winters slowly kicking in, minimums drop to 14.6 degrees

Delhi Weather has been slightly slipping into wintry conditions. Winter chill is being observed during the late night hours. So much so that the minimum temperature recorded today was at 14.6 degrees Celsius, which is about two degrees below normal. The maximum temperature has settled at 28 degrees, which is four degrees below the normal levels.

Other pockets of Delhi have also recorded low minimums with Mungeshpur settling at 14.1 degrees, Jasalpur 14.9 degrees, and Ridge 14.3 degrees.

The drop in these temperatures have been of about two degrees Celsius since yesterday wherein minimum settling at 16.2 degrees. In fact, consistent drop has been seen in both minimums and maximums.

Furthermore, temperatures will see a continuous marginal drop itself until October 30. In fact, minimums may even settle between 12.5 and 13 degrees in the coming days. Moreover, temperatures could even reach last year’s 12.5 degrees, which was seen on October 20, 2020.

Tomorrow, wind speed will pick up, adding to the chill factor making it even chillier for residents. Moreover, mist and haze which had been missing will also fill in the morning hours. Mild cool breeze will blow over Delhi for three to four days or so.

After October 31, temperatures may see a rise with a Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas with a Circulation over the plains. Thereafter, winds may once again see a change around November 4, in the wake of the system.
