November is the transition month when we see a change from the pleasant and comfortable weather to chilly winter conditions. The month starts with minimums hovering around 16 degrees Celsius and it generally slips to 9-10 degrees by the end of the month. However, during this season so far we continued witnessing minimums in double digits.
The lowest minimum this month was recorded on November 22 at 11.4 degrees. Whereas the highest minimum this month was recorded on November 4 at 18.9 degrees Celsius.
The average minimum so far for the month of November has been 15.2 degrees Celsius which is almost two degrees up against the normal of 12.9 degrees. This two-degree raise is a significant change.
The maximum monthly average until today it is 28.1 degrees Celsius which is very close to the normal of 28.2 degrees.
Weather Forecast
The rain spells which have been witnessed in Delhi and NCR and its adjacent states will bring a change in the weather conditions over these regions.
In a span of 24 hours itself, there was a change of about four to five degrees in the day and night temperatures as the maximum from 27.4 degrees Celsius on November 27 came down to 22 degrees Celsius on November 28 due to rain and hail. While the night temperature of 16.2 degrees Celsius dropped to 12.5 degrees. The minimum is likely to slide further in the next few days.
Around December 3 or 4, we hope to see minimums in single digits. A gradual decline in the temperature is expected thereon. While the maximums will be somewhere in its mid-20s. Also, there are very bleak chances of any weather activity in Delhi for the coming week. Just in case, any weather activity comes up we may observe a drop in maximum as well.
The seasonal fog has been out of sight until now and we expect the weather condition to remain the same for the next few days. However, on account of a drop in the night temperature hazy and misty mornings with a chill in the air will be experienced.
