Southwest Monsoon this year was quite weak for the national capital. So much so that the region recorded a mere 74 percent of rains. Rains were absent for most amount of time and only a few good spells paid a visit to the city.
Clear sky and dry weather conditions have been the weather for Delhi for the past few days. Monsoon has also withdrawn from the state. Along with this, temperatures have also been on a sky-high ranging between 36 and 37 degrees resulting in very warm weather conditions.

Due to continuous flow of northwesterly winds, humidity levels have reduced to some extent which has given relief from sultry weather. However, now winds are going to change once again starting October 8 onward.

Thus, humid southeasterly winds will once again increase humidity which will increase in discomfort levels. The change in wind direction will be due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh and adjoining Southeast Uttar Pradesh.
Due to increase in humidity levels, sky may become partly cloudy for the next 2 to 3 days between October 8 and 11 but chances of rains over the city are quite less. While temperatures will witness a decrease, discomfort may increase due to high humidity.
