Delhi rains have been continuing over some parts of the national capital since the last few days. While rains have been moderate on a day, light showers occurred on other days. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Palam observatory has recorded 1 mm of rains.

Temperatures which were running in the mid-40s until last week have now dropped down and are settling in the mid-30s.

As the axis of Monsoon trough has shifted northwards and is now passing north of Delhi, warm westerly winds will be prevailing over the city of Delhi which will result in a marginal increase in temperatures. The night temperatures will also see a marginal increase. Also, since the axis of Monsoon trough is in close vicinity, light rains at isolated pockets cannot be ruled out.

Thus, in the coming days, warm weather will prevail along with partly cloudy sky conditions. Surface winds will be moderate in intensity. These conditions are expected to continue during next few days as the axis of Monsoon trough will continue running north of Delhi. Light rains may occur in isolated pockets.

Maximum temperatures will settle between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, minimums will settle between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius.
