During the last 24 hours, the weather has took a turn in Delhi and some light drizzle has been observed over the region. While, Palam Observatory has received 0.6 mm rains while Safdarjung Observatory has recorded 0.2 mm of rains. Otherwise, since last many days, the weather was running slightly warm and humid along with a cloudy sky.
Presently, an upper air Cyclonic Circulation is lying over Southern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Northern parts of Madhya Pradesh. Another system, in the form of a Western Disturbance is persisting over Northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining parts of North Pakistan. While its associated Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over central parts of Pakistan and adjoining Northeast Rajasthan.
Under these conditions, light rains are likely to affect scattered places over Delhi and NCR during the next 24 to 36 hours. Thereafter, rain intensity will be decreasing.
The day temperatures are expected to remain between 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, while night temperatures will remain between 23 to 24 degrees.
Pollution level remain in satisfactory category as light to moderate breeze will keep drifting the smoke particles away.
As on September 28, the seasonal rainfall is deficient by 43% over Delhi. This means that the city has received 43% less rains as compared to the normal trend, this Monsoon season. Since the Monsoon season is about to come to an end, this deficit condition is likely to prevail over Delhi and NCR.
