What a wonderful start to Wednesday morning for Delhiites, with rain bringing much-needed respite from hot and sunny weather. As per the latest forecast by Skymet, Delhi is expected to witness thundershowers and duststorm till evening. Moreover, hazy conditions triggered by dust in suspension, will lead to reduced visibility in the city throughout the day.
Delhi has been witnessing dust storms for the last two days, which have travelled from Rajasthan and Punjab and Haryana.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, it is the Western Disturbance over the hills along with the induced cyclonic circulation over south Rajasthan that has increased the pre-Monsoon activity over North India.
Both the systems have kept maximum temperatures across Northwest India under check. Delhi, which has been recording day temperatures around 43°C, has also registered a drop in maximum temperatures over last two days. On Tuesday, national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 38.7°C.
For today also, we expect the temperatures in Delhi to settle around 37°C. Since this weather activity is happening during the forenoon hours, it will not allow temperatures to rise further.
However, temperatures will shoot once again after 48 hours, as the Western Disturbance moves away and cyclonic circulation system becomes less marked.
