With the onset of spring, weather conditions have started changing across the northwestern plains including Delhi and NCR region.
Days are comfortable and pleasant with bright sunny sunshine, however a slight nip in the weather can be felt during morning and night hours.
According to Skymet Weather, dry and cold northwesterly winds are blowing across the plains of North India. Due to clear sky and bright sunshine, the day temperatures are expected to rise marginally across the northwestern plains including Delhi NCR.
No major change is expected in minimum temperatures, they will continue to settle near normal. Even if there is a slight dip in minimums, it will not make much of a difference in the weather. Also, medium or high cloud cover may occur in the coming days over the region.
On Sunday morning, Palam Observatory witnessed a minimum of around 9.6°C, while maximum temperature settled at 24.2°C. During the similar time, Safdurjung Observatory recorded a minimum of 8.4°C, while day maximum settled at 24°C.
Mercury is expected to continue settling on the upper end and the wintry conditions are not expected to make a comeback.
A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayas by February 15. However, the frequency of Western Disturbances is expected to reduce. In case if there is any, the system will be feeble in nature and will move through at a fast pace. Moreover, its induced cyclonic circulation which lies usually over the northwestern plains will not pose much affect over the region.
