March went almost dry for the city this year as so was April until now. However, these rains eradicated the dry spell and occurred in a few parts of the city on April 6.

On Saturday, Delhi’s Safdarjung observatory recorded maximum temperature at 35.5°C, meanwhile, Palam observatory registered its maximum temperature at 36.2°C. Ayanagar and Ridge observatory also recorded maximum temperature at 34.8°C and 34.5°C respectively.

Dry and hot weather with mostly sunny sky conditions is expected to prevail over Delhi-NCR for the next 36 hours.

Thereafter, due to the approaching Western Disturbance, clouding is expected to increase and will be accompanied by dust storm and short spells of thundershowers with squally winds on April 10 and April 11.

Meanwhile, during the next 24 hours temperatures will rise. However, after dust storm and thundershower activities the temperatures are likely to fall by April 11. Day temperatures will remain between 38°C – 40, and minimum temperatures will be in the range of 24°C - 25°C.
