Winds have changed their direction since afternoon of November 21 over the capital region of Delhi and are now flowing from northwest direction. This has resulted in decrease in the long-prevailing pollution levels over Delhi-NCR.

Moreover, since the last few days, dry weather conditions are prevailing over Delhi-NCR region. Mostly the days were little warm, and nights were cool. In fact, so far even the pollution was persisting at high levels.

Now as winds have picked up pace during the forenoon and afternoon hours, the smoke has drifted away which has reduced the pollution levels over Delhi and nearby areas.

However, during the morning and evening hours, when winds will be light again pollution level will increase become high. But on and off weather conditions will be continuing during next few days.

Even though, the night temperatures are expected to decrease marginally over the area. Day temperatures will remain between 27 to 28 degrees and night temperatures will remain between 10 to 11 degrees.

Thus, we can say that the weather conditions over Delhi and its nearby areas will remain mainly dry with clear sky conditions.

Along with this, we can also say that, there will be a slight relief from the ongoing pollution levels to some extent. Also, due to the fall of temperatures, winters are expected to commence soon over the region.
