The Southwest Monsoon 2018 has completely withdrawn from India’s capital territory, Delhi. The month of October is a benign month for Delhiites. Whatever, little activity we see in Delhi is the result of post Monsoon effect.
During this time, the temperatures in Delhi usually rise bringing in clear sky with bright sunshine, there’s a drop in humidity levels as well. The day temperature is somewhere in mid 30s with comfortable nights. However, the weather will change somewhere in middle of October. The shift will be because of a disruption in weather activity on two accounts. The weather system which is brewing in Arabian Sea will intensify into a Cyclonic storm, titled, Luban. Secondly, a Western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir.
Due to the interaction of these two weather systems, Delhi will experience patchy rains on October 10-12.
This will be a mark of change in the season. After October 12, maximum temperatures might drop, and will be in lower 30s, i.e. somewhere around 32 degree- Celsius or 33 degree- Celsius. Whereas, night temperature will be in lower 20s.
And, after 4-5 days of this activity, the minimums can drop below 20 degree- Celsius as well. This seems like a good relief for the habitants of Delhi and pleasant weather will surely bring back the cheerfulness of Delhi back.
