Light Monsoon rain in Delhi to continue

Delhi continues to witness on and off light patchy Monsoon rains for the last few days. Further, we can expect slight increase in the rain activity for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Weather is likely to be cloudy throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday with mainly light to moderate rain and thundershowers. However, these showers will not be widespread and heavy in nature.

According to Skymet weather, the low pressure area over Central India has shifted closer to the national capital. The system is now marked over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas. This has also pulled the axis of Monsoon trough which is running south of Delhi-NCR.

In addition to this, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen approaching Jammu and Kashmir. The interaction among all these systems have made weather conditions favourable for rain over the capital.

Good rains gave a miss to Delhi which weathermen had predicted on Monday and Tuesday. According to Skymet Weather, the above mentioned system was holding the rains so far.

In wake of this, maximum temperatures have started increasing once again. On Tuesday, day maximum settled at 35.5°C. This rise coupled with high levels of humidity has led to sultry weather conditions, causing extreme discomfort for Delhiites.
