The first Monday after Odd-Even 2.0 came down heavily with massive traffic jams at major junctions at the capital. With heat soaring in the capital, this has made the life of commuters terrible. Reports are flooding in that people who are travelling to Gurgaon from Delhi are late by 2 to 3 hours.
The temperature of Delhi has reached to a tumultuous 45.4 degree Celsius. One of Delhi’s major cross-sections, Ashram, has been choked since the morning.

Another reason for these traffic jams is because of the protest by the cab drivers after the Supreme Court ruled to ban all the diesel driven cabs. "The taxi drivers on Monday morning blocked both the carriageways on Rajokri flyover near the old Delhi toll booth on Gurgaon to Dhaula Kuan road," a traffic police official said.

Commuters travelling from Noida to Delhi had a traumatic experience this morning as they rushed to reach their offices as the cab drivers also blocked traffic on the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway. This protest led to a massive congestion at Ashram.
Diesel and Petrol based taxis have been banned in Delhi and NCR from May 1.
The situation is expected to remain worse on Tuesday as well as the weather will play foul. The weather will remain unbearable till afternoon. However, the situation is slated to improve from evening as thundershowers are expected in the national capital city.
