Delhi and the NCR region has seen a very good October so far, i.e. Ocotober 12 and has seen 128.7 mm of rainfall. The normal rainfall for the national capital in October stands at 15 mm only. These heavy rains can be attributed to two heavy spells that the national capital saw during the weekend.
This rainy October so far in Delhi happens to be the wettest month since 66 years. The last time the city saw such heavy rains was in the year 1966 at 232 mm. There are more days to go in October, but nothing significant is expected in the coming days.
Tomorrow, rains will see a significant decline as the anti cyclone has set in over the Rajasthan region. Due to these rains, maximum temperatures had dropped by 10 degrees over the national capital. Now, the temperatures will rise in the coming days, not shooting up significantly. but a gradual rise will be seen.
Minimums on the other hand may see a drop due to the fresh snowfall over the hills. This morning saw the first foggy morning of the season, but it is not expected to persist in the coming days.
