Delhi records lowest minimum of this season

Today morning, Delhi recorded the lowest minimum of the season this year at 4.9 degrees. The sun shone brightly in Delhi/NCR, as the day progressed. The minimum temperature could possibly double in the next couple of days due to change in the wind direction.

According to Skymet Weather, westerly/north westerly winds sweeping across North India is expected to slow down as another Western Disturbance will start affecting weather conditions within 24 hours. A cloud cover is likely to bring light rain in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh. Winds will change direction to become easterly/south easterly in entire North India.

Fog in Delhi and North India has almost completely abated and may not come back for another 2 to 3 days. Weather in North India could again become conducive for dense fog after rain on the 30th and 31st. The conditions responsible for the intensification of fog in North India will be light winds, rise in relative humidity levels and minimum temperatures below 10 degrees, during this period.

Experts at Skymet reiterates, this time New Year will bring along with it cold weather, with possibilities of rain in Delhi, frost in Punjab and foggy conditions throughout the plains.
