Central and southern parts of Delhi, Faridabad, and Gurugram received moderate thundershower activity a day before. But as these rains were patchy thus, we can say that the weather over Delhi almost remained dry.
Both the observatories had recorded some spells a day before, however, the past day was dry for the city.

The axis is Monsoon trough has now shifted towards north of Delhi. Therefore, the wind direction has changed from southeasterly to westerly, which, means humid winds have been replaced by dry westerly winds.
Thus, we expect weather conditions over Delhi to become dry and warm, with partly cloudy sky for at least next five to six days.
Further around August 7 or August 8, we expect Monsoon to once again revive over the Northwestern Plains, including Delhi -NCR region. The reason for this will be mostly attributed to the shift of the axis of Monsoon trough southwards in the vicinity of Delhi.
During that time, we expect moderate showers over the Delhi region. In fact, even the day temperatures will be seen dropping and dry westerly will get replaced by humid winds from the Bay of Bengal. Humidity and cloud cover is also expected to increase.
