Delhi rains had made an appearance during the second week of August. In fact, the national capital did witness a few good spells of rainfall between August 7 and 10. So much so that the city recorded two good spells of rainfall, one of them being 30 mm while the other being recorded at 28 mm.

Thereafter, it seemed like the rainfall activity took a major backseat over the national capital. So much so that since the past seven days, Delhi and the NCR region has not recorded even a spell of rain. So much so that the region has witnessed an increase in temperatures as well.

The maximum temperature which was running at around 32 degrees has now crossed the 35-degree mark. In fact, the national capital is currently witnessing a maximum of 36.4 degrees. The minimum is also running close to 29 degrees, at present. However, even after the increased temperatures, the weather conditions have remained more on the comfortable side.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, temperatures are expected to increase even further over Delhi and the NCR region during the next 24 to 48 hours. This increase will be attributed to the change in wind pattern from westerlies to easterlies. Not only this, due to this, humidity is expected to increase over the region resulting in uncomfortable and humid weather.
