Rains are all set to re-appear in Delhi and NCR area owing to the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir with its induced Cyclonic Circulation over Haryana and its adjoining areas.
Meteorologists at Skymet have predicted patchy rain in Delhi and its adjoining areas of Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad today. There are also chances of one or two intense localised spells.
Since today morning, thunderclouds have been developing in parts of the National Capital Territory, indicating rains could appear anytime now. However, these rains would neither be heavy nor widespread and remain confined to only a few pockets.
In the wake of these rains, the weather would turn cloudy and day temperature may drop by a couple of degrees.
Such weather conditions would persist until tomorrow, considering chances of scattered rainfall activities on November 27 as well. There is also a possibility of light hailstorm at isolated places in and around Delhi during this period.
By November 28, the Western Disturbance would move away and the effect of its induced Cyclonic Circulation would also fade, leading to clear weather conditions. But, cloudy sky is likely to be observed on November 28 as well.
Once the rains take a backseat, icy cold winds from the snow-clad mountains of the Himalayas would resume, leading to a significant drop in the minimums. There are chances that by November 29 or 30, minimums may drop to single digits, resulting in frequent formations of ‘moderate to dense’ fog during morning hours.
