Delhi rains have finally made an appearance and have also stayed for long as reiterated by Skymet Weather. In the last 24 hours, Delhi-NCR region including the cities of Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad received light to moderate rainfall. Some sharp showers were also seen over some parts of the national capital.
In fact, the ridge observatory of Delhi recorded moderate rainfall activity to the tune of 24 mm in the past 24 hours, Delhi’s Safdarjung observatory recorded 7.9 mm of rain, followed by Ayanagar 9.4 mm, Palam 6.2 mm, Narela 2 mm.

These rains can be attributed to the axis of Monsoon trough running across Delhi. Due to these rains, temperatures have also witnessed a drop. Thus, maximums have been settling close to the normal levels with the minimums settling a notch below the normal levels.
Today also, the city of Delhi and its adjoining areas of NCR will continue to witness rains. Moreover, some parts may see a few sharp showers as well.
Few spells of rain and thundershowers are likely over Faridabad, Fatehabad, Gurugram,G autam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad during next 12 hours. Rainfall is expected to reduce by tomorrow, but some rains will continue over some parts. Temperatures may see a marginal rise tomorrow, but days will continue to be comfortable.
