Delhi, as well as its neighboring areas, have been receiving on and off rains of mixed intensity since the past few days. In fact, these Monsoon showers have made the weather quite enjoyable, but then humidity stayed at its peak. In view of the showers, the rain deficiency of the national capital has reduced to 11%.

In the same way, both the stations of the national capital saw active to normal Monsoon rains in the course of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Monday, wherein Palam Observatory recorded a huge of 70 mm of rains, whereas Safdarjung observatory observed18 mm.

Present day, as per weatherman at Skymet Weather, the axis of Monsoon trough which is running through North Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh is most expected to further shift north towards Delhi.

As a result, we can anticipate rainfall activities to enhance over Delhi as well as its adjoining regions of Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida and Gurugram during the next two to three days. During this period, the weather would remain contented, with maximum temperatures fluctuating near 31-32°C and minimums in the mid-20s.

Thus by the end of the month, we are assuming the rain deficiency to further go down over Delhi.

As of July 24, Safdarjung Observatory in Delhi has recorded 203.9 mm of rainfall contrary to its monthly mean of 187.3 mm. Also; Palam Observatory received 175.9 mm in contradiction to the monthly mean of 174.4 mm.

It is pretty obvious that both the observatories have already exceeded its monthly normal rainfall mean. In fact, the approaching showers would be an accumulation to these statistics.
