Delhi and neighbouring regions have been recording scattered rains in patches from the past two to three days. As predicted by Skymet Weather, light intensity showers occurred over Delhi and Noida.

At present, the axis of Monsoon trough is running across the center of the well-marked low-pressure area across Indore, Seoni, Raipur, Gopalpur and further towards west central Bay of Bengal.

As per Skymet Weather, the axis of Monsoon trough is moving towards Delhi and the foothills of Himalayas. The humid south easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal are increasing moisture over Delhi and NCR.
The Western Disturbance is also moving across Jammu and Kashmir. Due to these weather systems, Delhi and adjoining areas are expected to witness moderate intensity of Monsoon rains on August 31. Light to moderate intensity showers is likely to continue till September 2 over the region.
At present scattered light showers are being witnessed by the Delhiites. These patchy showers may increase in intensity by today evening or night. The weather across Delhi and NCR has become pleasant with these patchy rains giving a sigh of relief from the humid weather conditions. The sky is likely to remain mainly cloudy and the temperatures will also become below normal.
