As per Skymet Weather, the axis of Monsoon trough was lying along the foothills of Himalayas during the last 10 days. However, now this trough is now shifting southwards over Delhi and adjoining region, thus resulting in rains. Another upper air cyclonic circulation which was lying over Uttar Pradesh in the lower levels can also be attributed to these showers.

It is anticipated that due to these combined weather systems, light intensity rains will continue at a few places over Delhi and NCR region for the next 24 to 48 hours. The sky is likely to remain cloudy while, humid weather conditions will prevail.
