In the month of April, pre-monsoon activities occur across many parts of the country. Delhi weather which was hot and sweltry during the last week, has witnessed a significant change in the past few days. It received thunderstorm and dust storm activities recently resulting in the fall of temperature to quite an extent.

Currently, the weather of Delhi-NCR has become cool and comfortable during the night. Whereas day temperatures have also dropped. As of now, maximum temperatures are near normal and minimum temperatures are above normal by 3 degrees.
The maximum temperatures are settling in the mid-30s. Yesterday, the Safdarjung observatory recorded its day temperature at 35.5°C and the Palam observatory recorded its maximum at 36.6°C. Ayanagar and Ridge also recorded their maximum temperatures at 35.5°C and 35.1°C respectively.
Now a cyclonic circulation is forming over Central Pakistan and adjoining Haryana and North Rajasthan. A trough is also seen extending towards East India across Delhi.
However, these weather systems will be responsible for the scattered rain or thundershower activities over Delhi-NCR for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, we expect weather of Delhi to become dry.
In next two to three days both the maximum temperature and minimum temperatures will be seen above normal. The temperatures are expected to reach around 37°C-38°C.
Furthermore, winds will also change direction and will start blowing from northwest direction, leading to decrees in humidity levels.
However, weather conditions over Delhi-NCR is going to become dry and warm after 24 hours.
