As far as Delhi rains during winter are concerned, the month of November saw 1.5 mm of rains, against the normal of 4.9 mm, making the month below normal. Usually, November sees lesser rains and rainfall average increase by more than double to 9.4 mm during December.

Thus, between December 12 and 13, Delhi including Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad will see some winter rains which will be accompanied with winds, and even hailstorm in some parts.

These rains will be attributed to a Western Disturbance in the hills of North India, which will induce a Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan and Punjab region. The hills will start getting affected from tomorrow itself, while the plains will see some weather from December 11.

Wind pattern across Delhi NCR will also change and temperatures will start increasing from December 11, however, rains will only make an appearance on December 12. During the time of rains, minimums may even reach double digit. Rains will be more intense on December 12, and slightly less on December 13.

Cloudy sky conditions will be seen, and cold day conditions may be observed on December 12. After the passage of Western Disturbance, rains will take a backseat. Minimums will also see a significant dip and fog may make an appearance. Winter Chill will set in after the rains resulting in colder and chillier weather for Delhiites.
