Published at 3:00 PM: As predicted by Skymet Weather, Delhi rains continued for the seventh consecutive day on Friday. Extremely pleasant weather conditions on the last working day of the week kept the spirits high for Delhiites. Well that is not all, weathermen are anticipating a rainy weekend ahead.

Cloudy sky conditions were being witnessed since the early morning hours, with few areas such as Safdarjung and Palam Observatory recording some thundershowers during the morning hours itself.

However, intense clouding was seen during the latter afternoon hours, with rains following soon. Unlike Thursday wherein national capital saw rains more over eastern parts, Friday would see widespread rains and thundershowers lashing almost all parts of Delhi-NCR.

But as mentioned before, rains would be patchy in nature, with few recording heavy showers and some settling with light rains. The cloud mass suggest that rainy spell is likely to last for the next couple of hours.

Thus, we can expect extremely pleasant evening and night ahead. The cloud cover had already restricted rise in the temperature, which had been hovering around 28°C.

These rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation over Haryana and the depression marked over Chhattisgarh. Both the system has been joined by the Axis of Monsoon trough, which running in close proximity of Delhi NCR.

As per weathermen, these systems would keep the conditions conducive for some more intense rains over Delhi and nearby areas of Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon on Saturday as well as on Sunday.

Weather by large would remain pleasant, particularly during the morning and nights hours. In wake of this, maximum temperatures would also continue to settle below the normal average.
