Delhi weather has remained dry for quite some time now. So much so that the last time the city recorded rains was on January 23. Thereafter, rainfall activity took a backseat. In fact, the month of February has also remained rain free so far for Delhi.
As far as the temperatures are concerned, the maximums have been settling in the mid-20s resulting in days being on the warmer side. On the other hand, minimums continue to settle in single digit, sometimes even close to 5 degrees Celsius.

Now, rain gods are all set to bestow some kindness over the residents of the national capital giving them that slight chill in the air during the day.
Currently, an active Western Disturbance is over Northwest Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Southwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Moreover, a confluence is also present over Central India. Thus, due to the effect of these weather systems, rain and thundershower activity is expected to occur over the national capital starting tonight.

Rain and thundershowers are also expected to occur over Delhi tomorrow as well. The intensity of these rains will be light. However, isolated moderate showers are expected to occur over parts of Delhi and the NCR region.
Adjoining areas of Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad are also expected to witness rainfall activity.
Due to these rainfall activities, minimum temperatures are expected to witness a slight rise tonight. However, day temperatures will witness a significant drop tomorrow. Moreover, night temperatures tomorrow will also witness a drop.
