Delhi-NCR continued to witness good rain and thundershowers for the second consecutive day on Monday, plunging day temperatures by whopping 8 degrees at 32.4°C.

Till May 31, city has recorded 40 mm of rain surpassing its monthly average of 37.7 mm.

Scorching hot weather to return

With the end of month, the three-day-long rainy spell has also come to an end. According to Skymet Weather, the cyclonic circulation over Punjab region and the east-west trough passing through the Indo-Gangetic plains have become less marked.

With this, rain activity is also expected to reduce significantly. Though, sky will remain partly-cloudy on Tuesday but day maximum will start inching back towards the normal average.

Today, we can expect day temperatures to settle around 39°C or 40°C.

We expect dry and hot weather conditions to prevail over the city for at least next five days as no significant weather system is likely to affect the region soon.
