Delhi has been battling extremely humid and scorching weather for the last 2-3 days. However, Delhi rains are all set to return by July 12.

According to Skymet Weather, the Monsoon trough which is presently running north of Delhi will gradually start shifting southwards during the next 48 hours. Moreover, the cyclonic circulation which is over Bihar will also move in westerly direction and merge with the trough eventually.

Besides this, a fresh Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining areas will also start affecting Jammu and Kashmir. All these weather systems combined will lead to commencement of a fresh spell of rains over Delhi-NCR Wednesday onwards.

Though isolated thundery activity cannot be ruled out on July 11 also, but the intensity of rains will increase by July 12. Like the last spell during the last week of June, this will also be a prolonged rainy spell which will continue for at least next 4-5 days.

During this time, the national capital would record light to moderate rains and thundershowers with one or two heavy spells in between.

Sky would also remain mainly cloudy, which mark the return of comfortable weather conditions over the city. Weathermen are predicting a pleasant week, though high levels of humidity may cause some discomfort during afternoon.
