According to a survey of WHO, pollution in Delhi is the worst than any other major city in the world. At present, dry weather together with high pollution is making a deadly combination for the residents of Delhi-NCR region.
Moreover, with the presence of light winds, pollution is likely to stay under ‘very poor’ category over many areas of Delhi- NCR. This level of deteriorating air quality is considered hazardous for health thereby causing lung diseases, asthma and major brain disorder issues.
At present, weak Western Disturbances are moving across higher latitudes, hence winds are dry. In the presence of these weak winds, no major improvement in pollution is expected. The intensity of this pollution will remain high during morning and evening hours as comparison to forenoon and afternoon hours. Hence, people are advised to wear masks during their morning and evening walks.
The maximums will fluctuate between 25℃-27℃, while minimums will settle around 9℃-10℃. Dry weather conditions with mainly clear sky will prevail over the entire Delhi-NCR region.
Moreover, due to the presence of high humidity, shallow fog and mist together in combination with smoke would be felt during the morning hours. No major change in weather conditions is expected in the coming days.
