Delhi pollution decreases amid dry weather

After experiencing rains in the beginning of the month, it seems like Delhi is all set for welcoming the dry weather. As has been earlier predicted by Skymet Weather, the city is not witnessing rains anymore.

During the last 48 hours, dry weather is prevailing over Delhi and NCR region. Light to moderate ‘cool’ surface winds have been blowing over the region winds. These winds clubbed with the rainfall this week has led to a decrease in pollution levels over the area. During next three to four days, this dry weather is expected to continue.

Presently, a feeble Western Disturbance is moving across Eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Another Western Disturbance is approaching the region. During the next 48 hours, due to the approaching fresh system, the sky conditions will be partly cloudy. Weather however will be mainly dry.

The day temperature would remain between 27 to 28 degrees, while night temperatures will remain between 12 to 13 degrees.

The pollution level which at present is in ‘satisfactory’ to ‘moderate’ level will now increase slowly and will be ‘moderate’ at many places, due to the presence of smog. Intensity of pollution level will be higher during morning and evening hours.
