The national capital is in the news once again, all thanks to the rising concerns regarding the pollution levels in the country. Steps to protect oneself against the pollution levels are now clearly seen on the roads. Right from clothed faces to planting pollution filters, Delhi is leaving no stone unturned in protecting against rising pollution levels.
Weather conditions will also be becoming conducive as far as rising pollution levels are concerned. Thus, in the coming days, pollution will be seen in the national capital.
Presently, the level of pollution is on a rapid rise. Apart from Delhi, pollution in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gururgram and Faridabad has been increasing rapidly. The situation is currently at its worst in Anand Vihar where the PM 2.5 index have reached 189 and the PM10 reached level 294 which happens to be extremely dangerous.

Similarly, RK Puram saw PM 2.5 at 265 and PM10 level of 236 while PM 2.5 level 254 was recorded in Dwarka. Meanwhile, PM 2.5 in Faridabad was at 181. This level of pollution in air is considered dangerous from a healthy perspective.
Delhi-NCR is yet to see the horrific form of pollution, as pollution increases when winter reaches new heights. As the humidity in the environment will increase, Delhi's pollution will also be at its peak. To safeguard Delhi from pollution, National Green Tribunal directed the farmers of Punjab and Haryana to avoid stubble burning. Farmers have been asked to select such options for disposal of stubble which are environment-friendly. Not only this, the Supreme Court has banned the sale of firecrackers in Delhi.
In response to the ban on the sale of firecrackers, traders have filed a reconsideration petition before the Supreme Court. However, the Supreme Court firmly stands by its decision and the ban will stay as it was.
Meanwhile, farmers of Punjab and Haryana say that instead of burning the remains of crops, other options can be adopted only when they are provided financial support and resources from the government.
