Delhi and its adjoining areas such as Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad have been experiencing dry weather conditions since the last one week. The sky conditions are varying from clear to partly cloudy.

In fact, since then, temperatures over the region are continuously rising. Yesterday, the maximum temperature recorded in Delhi’s Safdarjung Observatory was 30.0˚C, followed by Gurugram 30.0˚C and Faridabad 30.3˚C.

Moreover, since the last 48 hours, moderate winds are prevailing over Delhi-NCR. These winds are dangerous for the wheat and mustard crops growing in the National Capital Region, as they may damage the crops.

At present, the Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation lies over southwestern parts of Rajasthan. Both these weather systems would be moving east/northeastwards. Thus, clouds will increase over Delhi and NCR today evening onwards.

In the wake of these systems, on March 25, short spell of light rain and thundershower activities accompanied with strong winds will occur over Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad.

Due to strong winds, pollution levels over most parts of the region will continue to remain in satisfactory to moderate category.

During the next 24 hours, the temperature pattern over Delhi-NCR will change and increase. Thereafter, once again both day and night temperatures will decrease.
