As reiterated by Skymet Weather, sky conditions over Delhi-NCR has been cloudy since Tuesday night. In fact, several parts of the region recorded light drizzle during the early morning hours of Wednesday.

At present also, medium clouds can be observed engulfing the national capital. With this, we can expect some more short spells of rain during the day. However, the intensity of the rain will be light only. These rains are likely to occur in patches like spot rain.

This rain spell is only likely to stay for the 24 hours, thereafter, the weather will again go dry over the city.

These rains can be attributed to the Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining areas, that has also induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas.

In wake of these rains, maximum temperatures which had settled 7 degrees above normal on February 28 are now expected to decrease marginally. All thanks to overnight cloudy sky. On the other hand, night temperatures that have increased significantly are expected to remain above normal for the next 2 to 3 days.

Delhi-NCR region has been witnessing very warm and uncomfortable weather since past many days. In fact, these weather conditions were unusual for the month of February. Both day and night temperatures were observed above normal by 2 to 3 degrees, almost giving a feel of summer-like conditions.
