March is generally a comfortable month for Delhi as it is that time of the year when winters are just on the verge of bidding adieu and summers are all set to step in. The maximum temperatures usually remain around 30 degrees Celsius, while minimums mostly settle in mid-teens. Delhi also accounts for a fair amount of rainfall during this month.

The month of February remained parched for the capital of the country and its adjoining Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. In fact, it seems that March is also following similar footprints with no rainfall being recorded so far.

Although, around March 4 an active Western Disturbance had induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana, but Delhi only managed to see isolated thunderstorm only. This led to a drop in the day and night temperatures by 3 - 4 degrees.

Now, since last few days both day and night temperatures of Delhi-NCR are on a decreasing trend. Mornings and nights have once again become cool and comfortable. The main reason for this is reduced frequency of Western Disturbances.

After March 4 no Western Disturbance has affected Jammu and Kashmir, leading to continues flow of cool northerly winds.

The temperatures which were above normal have come to near normal now. Although for the next 2-3 days, cool conditions will remain constant, but day temperatures will be seen increasing.

Furthermore, weather is expected to remain dry. No chances of rain any soon and nights will be observing cool and comfortable weather.
