Delhi NCR to see some patchy rain, thundershowers for next three days

Delhi and the NCR region has been seeing some patchy rains during the last couple of days.

Monsoon Trough is currently south of Delhi, and more of a Pre Monsoonal pattern comes up over north of the Monsoon Trough wherein Monsoonal weather comes up south of the trough. Now, Monsoon Trough is south of its normal position.

There is plenty of moisture with easterly winds are blowing over the Delhi and the NCR region from the Bay of Bengal, with local temperatures in the mid 30s. In addition, there is a Western disturbance along with which a cyclonic circulation is also over Pakistan and adjoining Punjab region.

In combination of these weather features, we can expect some thunderstorm, squally winds, rains over Delhi and the NCR region today, more so in the next one hour or so. Moreover, these weather activities with short spells of rains may be seen for the next three days.

This condition will remain so for the next three days and winds will thereafter see a changeover, which will result in cessation of such activities.
