Delhi hasn’t received any rain for the month of March this year. The normal rainfall for Delhi during the month of March is 15.9 mm. Conditions were seen getting a little better around the festival of Holi, but no showers were seen, and the weather merely remained cloudy with no rain show

Due to absence of rains, dry and warm weather conditions have been adding up to the heat. This has resulted in the rise in maximum temperatures as yesterday, Delhi recorded the highest maximum for this year at 37.2 degrees. The temperatures were seen 7 degrees above the normal levels while the minimum temperatures were also above normal by 2-3 degrees.

Now, as we can see the Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its adjoining region which is resulting in rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The rainfall activities are likely to change the wind patterns over the northern plains.

Today, a drop-in temperature will be observed, and minimums would settle lower than yesterday. Temperatures are likely to settle between 34-35 degrees. As the weather conditions are building up, Delhi-NCR is expected to receive some showers in few areas.

However, this activity is expected to last for a very short duration and the sky will again be clear by day after tomorrow. Slight drop in temperatures will also be seen. But on March 16, once again temperatures will rise as the weather will become dry and warm.
