Delhi may see rains again tonight

Rain in Delhi

After reeling under severe heatwave for a couple of days, finally, heaven poured over Delhi bringing a much-needed relief for the Delhiites. The weather became pleasant yesterday late evening or during early night hours when thunderstorms along with winds and few showers showed up in the National Capital. In fact, lightning strikes at a few parts of the city also accompanied the cloudy weather.

As per Skymet Weather, Delhi is expected to witness rains tonight as well. A cyclonic circulation persists over Haryana and adjoining areas and a trough is seen passing through Delhi up to Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Moreover, humid southeasterly winds are also blowing over Delhi.

In the wake of the combination of these weather system, chances of thundery build up are possible today towards late afternoon or evening hours. Hence, isolated thunderstorm followed by lightning and strong winds is what Delhi and NCR can expect tonight. A few regions may also witness rains.

A few odd showers may even occur in Delhi and the adjoining regions tomorrow. However, thereafter weather will once again go on to become dry.

Moreover, Skymet Weather further reiterates that the heatwave conditions that was prevailing in Delhi and NCR is likely to remain abated for the next 48 hours. However, after the pre-Monsoon activity, the maximums that were near normal, settling at around 40°C are likely to witness a gradual rise and may reach close to 43°C.
