Delhi and the NCR region have been heating up with the maximum already having crossed 33.6 degrees on February 20. Now, March did see the maximums crossing 30 degrees on a daily basis, but yesterday, the national capital did break records this season, with the maximum settling at 34.1 degrees Celsius.
Delhi will continue to see the day being hotter today and tomorrow. There may be an outside chance of the national capital observing some sprinkles of rains tomorrow, but it will not result in much relief. More rains may be seen commencing around late night hours of March 16 and may be seen continuing for a longer duration.
More of the rains will be seen on March 18 and 19, before that on March 15 also some light sprinkles may be seen. With this long spell of rains, there may be a possibility of some temperature dip. Temperatures that have been running way above the normal levels may see a drop and settle around the normal levels.
The reason for these rains will be attributed to multiple systems including the passage of Western Disturbance along with an induced Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan and another circulation will be seen over Madhya Pradesh. The trough joining these two systems will be running close to Delhi. Thus, rains may be visiting Delhi soon.
