Delhi and the NCR region have not seen rains since almost two months. The last time it rained in Delhi was on October 11 and 12. November saw no rains and remained completely dry. Usually also, November does not see a lot of rains with the average rains being at 4.1 mm.

December sees some marginal increase in rains and the average rains are around 8 mm. Close to ten days have already gone and no rains have been seen. In fact, in the next one week or so also, there are no rainfall activities likely.

The reason for no rains is due to no active Western Disturbance over the hills that would be strong enough to have any effect on the plains.

Currently, a Western Disturbance will be moving across the Western Himalayas until the 10th, thus temperatures have seen a marginal increase. The system when it moves, there will be a drop of 1-2 degrees in the minimums.

By end of December, the normal goes to 7 degrees, despite the fact that there is no system.
