The Southwest Monsoon has bid adieu from the capital region Delhi leaving behind dry and warm weather. Delhiites had experienced heavy rains back to back last month, but talking about the current scenario, the weather is dry and sunny. However, the nights are still comfortable. Temperature is around 35 to 36 degree- Celsius and will continue to remain so till October 8.

A Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir around October 8 and due to a Depression over Central parts of Arabian Sea, winds will change to humid southeasterly by that time.

These humid Southwesterly winds will move in the direction of Delhi and NCR and will thus lead to increase levels of humidity. With the influence of these two weather systems, Delhi may experience light rains from October 9 till October 11. There are also chances of a fall in temperature by three to four degree -Celsius, but this will be for a very short period. In short, weather will be comfortable and enjoyable around October 9 till 11.

Thereafter, the Weather System will move away leaving behind dry weather. There’s a possibility of the Depression intensifying into a Cyclone and will head towards Oman which will lead to blowing of Northwesterly winds over Delhi and NCR. However, the temperatures will be not that high as they are currently.
