Southwest Monsoon has reached its fag end and still, most parts of Northwest India are rain deficient. As on September 25, West Uttar Pradesh is rain deficient by 30 percent, East Uttar Pradesh by 26 while, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi by 25 percent and Punjab by 20 percent.

In the past day, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi failed to record any Monsoon rain activity. As per Skymet Weather, the hot and dry northwesterly winds have started blowing over the northwestern plains. WIth this,  humidity levels will also decrease significantly now.

In the absence of any weather system and with the continuous flow of dry northwesterly winds over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, we expect the weather of the entire northwestern plains to remain dry.

The day is likely to remain warm and sunny with almost clear sky, however, morning and nights will be cool and comfortable. Due to the decrease in humidity levels, sultry weather conditions which were being experienced by the people of northern plains will also fade away.

As there are four more days to go for the Monsoon season to end, the rain deficiency of these states will not reduce further. In fact, it will increase more as there are no rains in near future.
