Delhi and NCR will receive light patchy rains throughout Wednesday. In fact, the Palam observatory has been observing thunderstorm activities since early morning hours.
In the image above, we can see the live lightning status. Here the yellow icons suggest lightning strikes very close to Delhi and the green and blue patches show possibility of thundershowers.
The day is likely to remain overcast and we can expect some light rainfall any time during the day. However, rainfall will be patchy in nature and heavy showers are ruled out. Skymet Weather predicts this kind of weather for Delhi ad NCR for Thursday as well.
Humidity will rise, making conditions a little uncomfortable during afternoon hours. Day maximums will remain around 36 degree Celsius while the night temperatures will hover around higher twenties.
This spell of Monsoon rain can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation prevailing over Punjab and adjoining areas. There is also a trough extending from this system and running very close to the Delhi and NCR.
