Weather of Delhi has witnessed some cooling effect since the last 2 to 3 days due to rain activities over Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Madhya Pradesh. There were a few rain and thunderstorm spells over eastern parts and central parts of Rajasthan. Winds from that area dropped the maximum and minimum temperature over Delhi and NCR.
As of now, Delhi will witness near normal minimum temperatures, however, maximum temperatures will be above normal by 3 to 4° celsius. Gradually increase is anticipated in maximum temperatures over Delhi and NCR. After 12th of March, there will be significant increase in day temperatures over Delhi as well as North-west India.
Temperatures will be in excess of 34-35 degrees during that time and may reach in upper 30s during the third week of March. There is no weather activity anticipated during the next one week or so over Delhi and the NCR region. Therefore, we think that people of Delhi will have to bear the brunt of heat in the coming days.
