Deep depression to revive Mumbai Rains, heavy showers expected tomorrow

Mumbai Rains

Mumbai rains have been on the lower side for the past two to three days. In fact, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Santa Cruz saw just about 8 mm of rains. Meanwhile, Colaba witnessed 23 mm of rainfall.

However, now Mumbai is all set to see some heavy rains starting tomorrow. These showers will not be for a prolonged duration and will only be seen for a couple of days.

A deep depression which is presently lying close to coast will move inland. Moreover, tomorrow, the system is expected to move to southern parts of Central parts Madhya Pradesh, and adjoining Maharashtra region.

During that time, the system may be a depression or well marked low pressure area. Thereafter, the system will continue to move westward affecting Gujarat region.

With this, strong westerly winds will blow over the city of Mumbai pulling in a fresh Monsoon surge. Along with this, a Trough is extending along the West coast which will further enhance the rainfall over Mumbai.

Thus, Mumbai rains are expected to make a comeback once again tomorrow wherein three digit rains are also expected. Water logging, traffic jams will be accompanied with the rainfall.

Meanwhile, day after tomorrow, rain intensity will reduce but even then intermittent rains being heavy in nature at times. Thereafter, rain intensity will reduce over the city of Mumbai.
