It’s a good news for Jharkhand and Bihar as moderate to heavy rains are approaching both the states, which will bring some relief from the warm and sultry weather. All thanks to the deep depression over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bihar and Jharkhand. The system has already given hefty three-digit rains over West Bengal.

As the weather system has moved towards Jharkhand, hence, it is anticipated that heavy to very heavy rain may occur over the eastern districts of Jharkhand during the next 24 hours.

The adjoining state of Bihar is also in proximity of the weather system, therefore moderate to heavy showers with one or two heavy spells will be witnessed by the eastern parts of Bihar for next 48 hours.

Jamshedpur, East, and West Singhbhum, Ranchi, Kunti, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Deogarh and Dumka in Jharkhand will witness heavy rain. Moderate lightning strikes along with high velocity winds also cannot be ruled out over these areas.

While, Banka, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Munger, Khagariya, Purnia, Katihar, Kisanganj and Araria in Bihar will receive moderate rain with one or two heavy spells. Meanwhile, Patna and Gaya may also receive light to moderate rains.

As per Skymet Weather, the deep depression will gradually weaken into a depression then into a well-marked Low-Pressure area and will continue to move in the northwest direction towards Jharkhand and Bihar. After 48 hours, it is expected that the rain intensity will reduce significantly over Jharkhand but Bihar may continue with rain at a few places.
