Mumbai rains have displayed an outstanding performance this year with rains even being witnessed in the month of November. It seems like the rain gods did not want Mumbai to feel left out in December and rains have already commenced over the city of Mumbai.

Moreover, the city has been witnessing light rains since morning and the sky conditions have remained cloudy since then. In fact, in the last 3 hours between 5:30 am and 8:30 am, both Santa Cruz and Colaba observatories have witnessed 1 mm of rains, each.

These rains are attributed to the deep depression over East Central Arabian Sea, which currently lies near Latitude 15 degrees North, and Longitude 68 degrees East, 690 km WSW of Mumbai and 620 km west of Goa. The system will continue to remain a deep depression in the coming 12 hours and may weaken thereafter.

Due to this system, on and off rains in the city of Mumbai will be seen until tonight. Sky conditions in the city will remain cloudy and overcast on occasions through the day. However, these rains will not be intense enough to cause water logging or flooding in the city.

However, temperatures in the city may see a drop and weather conditions will remain pleasant due to these Mumbai rains.
