Heatwave has gripped the West and Central parts of the country wherein, most of the states have been witnessing maximums settling above the 40-degree mark.

In fact, most parts of West Rajasthan, a few places over East Rajasthan and Gujarat are reeling under heatwave conditions. From last few days, maximums have even settling between 41°C and 43°C.

As per Skymet Weather, the westerly and southwesterly winds from Central Rajasthan and Pakistan are blowing over the region leading the maximums to mount several notches above normal. Even in the last 24 hours, the day temperatures across most parts of the state settled at least 5 to 7 degrees Celsius beyond their normal.

In the wake of this, even the night temperatures are also climbing up and settling way beyond the normal mark. This is making the nights in many parts of West Rajasthan and Gujarat warm. Thus, there is no significant relief from the warm weather conditions even during the night hours.

The minimums at most of the districts of Rajasthan are settling between 24°C to 26°C which is good 5 to 7 degrees above the average.

Let’s have a look at the minimums and their departure from normal recorded in most districts of Rajasthan on Tuesday:

Moreover, similar weather condition is expected to continue over most parts of Gujarat and West Rajasthan. This will further lead the heatwave conditions to grip some more regions of the state. Thus there is no respite foreseen as of now.
