Day temperatures take a dip in Madhya Pradesh

The maximum temperatures in Madhya Pradesh have been settling well below normal for the last few days. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, three successive cyclonic circulations have given good spell of rain and hailstorm which has resulted in significant drop of maximum temperature.

Bhopal has recorded 45.2 mm of rain so far in March against the monthly average of 8.1 mm. Similarly, Jabalpur has received 92.2 mm of rain against normal of 14 mm.

In absence of any weather activity, day temperatures are now inching back towards normal but at a very slow pace as cold north-westerly winds are still blowing over the region, which are not the letting the temperatures increase.

The normal average maximum temperature during March in Madhya Pradesh generally settles in mid-30s.
