Heavy rainfall in southern parts of Gujarat have brought flood-like situation in Gujarat’s Dang district. Torrential rains have submerged roads and cut off several villages from rest of the state. The government authorities have opened up relief centers in the affected districts.
This is the first region in Gujarat to get flooded this Monsoon.

At present, Southwest Monsoon seems to be vigorous over Maharashtra and parts of Madhya Pradesh. Multiple Monsoon systems are bringing heavy rainfall in the above mentioned states along with South Rajasthan and North Gujarat. There is a low pressure area lying over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and its adjoining areas. The previous cyclonic circulation is also lingering on over Southwest Madhya Pradesh and its neighboring areas. A fresh Monsoon system has also come up over Odisha and adjoining areas of Jharkhand.
Skymet weather predicts more showers for northern parts of Gujarat during next couple of days. Maharashtra and parts of Madhya Pradesh will also receive moderate to heavy Monsoon rains.
